Jake and I are spending time at the Casa Hogar Orphanage on Monday’s and Thursday’s. We are having a great time with the kids, teaching them English on Monday’s and having a fun time on Thursday’s play day! This last Monday I went with my guitar and taught them a simple song called “When We All Get Together”. They were so excited to see a guitar and to sing along with me! It sure is easy to get attached to the kids and sometimes it’s hard to leave.

March 10th, 2010Arrived Safely in P.V.
March 2nd, 2010We arrived safely in Puerto Vallarta on Thursday, February 25th. We have been keeping busy with friends here on vacation, and ministry. Sunday I sang with the worship team at Paradise Churches new location, Jake helped with the sound and all went well, even without a previous practice! It was a great service!! Their new location is an answer to prayer! Monday we went with our friends Ed and Rita to help His Will, His Way Ministries teach English at the Casa Hogar Orphanage and love on the kids. It was fun! Tomorrow I will be going to a worship practice to prepare for Sunday’s service. Thursday will take us back to the Orphanage and Saturday we’ll be at the Agape Home for abused girls. February 22nd, 2010A couple more days and we’ll be leaving to Mexico for another month of mission work.
Mission Report
February 14th, 2010We got home safely from Mexico on February 5th. We’ve seen family and friends and have been on the go ever since! We will be going back to Puerto Vallarta again for another month of mission work on the 25th. Today we gave a Mission Report at our home church – Pacific Community Church to let them know of all the wonderful work the Lord is doing through us in P.V. We are blessed to have their support! Thank you!
Women’s “Tapestry” Event
January 28th, 2010Tomorrow, January 29th, at 10 a.m., I will be speaking and singing at a Women’s “Tapestry ” Event here in Puerto Vallarta. It will be at the Casa Isabel Hotel and Restaurant. A wonderful location with an amazing view of the ocean and bay. I’ll be speaking about “Friendship”… keep me in your prayers!
Feeling Better
January 23rd, 2010The last two days I wasn’t feeling very well. I caught a virus but today I’m doing much better. I’m looking forward to leading worship on Sunday and having a full week of activity. I’ll keep you informed!
Missions in Puerto Vallarta
January 21st, 2010On Saturday Jake and I went to the Agape Home for abused women. His Will, His Way Ministries was doing an outreach and I was asked to accompany the singing. We got to meet and speak with those who attended and who heard the gospel story. Jake and I also presented the Director a bag of pillows for the girls that were made by Jake’s mom. It was a great time!
On Monday we went to the Casa Hogar Orphanage where His Will His Way Ministries also works. We went with friends from Manitoba who were on vacation and had the opportunity to help them with the English classes. The setting is much different than in a regular school and these kids have a different life in the orphanage so it can be challenging but very rewarding.
We also took some time to be with the babies who are so cute, our hearts go out to them especially to the ones who have just recently seen there parents and are feeling abandoned. These are some wonderful opportunities to share God’s love.
Hotdog Feast
January 14th, 2010Today at noon Jake and I will be going to the poor area of Puerto Vallarta to give them a bag of groceries and feed the kids hotdogs with the churches mobile kitchen. Looking forward to our time with them!
Worship in Paradise
January 12th, 2010We’ve arrived in Puerto Vallarta and are already very involved. I lead worship this Sunday at Paradise Church with a talented group of musicians who live in P.V. The team has a keyboard player, lead guitarist, a vocalist and myself who leads and plays rhythm guitar. It was wonderful the church entered into worship & praise with joy! I met with Pastor Ric and his wife Joy on Monday and they were blessed and very appreciative that we are here! Looking forward to our ministry here and are already seeing how God is using us!
Preparations for Missions
January 1st, 2010Preparing to lead worship at Paradise Church, sing and get involved with Women’s Ministry in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. My husband and I will be there in January and will return again later in February. Both of us will also teach and love on the kids at the Casa Hogar Orphanage and at the Agape Home for Women. Look forward to having a full, fun, and fulfilling ministry there! I will try to keep you informed!
